This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things: TicketMaster, 2024
Time to go back to December. Ticketmaster was not Ready for It when Taylor Swift tickets went on sale and now it is being Haunted by the repercussions. For years Ticketmaster has had a monopoly on ticket sales in the entertainment industry, from Ed Sheeran concerts to front-row NBA seats, if you want it they have it. Their shady business dealings combined with their seeming ineptitude in providing streamlined sales have created Bad Blood between the company, consumers, and Congress. It’s time for you, the Ticketmaster board to transform from anti-heroes to heroes and save the company before it goes under. Can you battle off scalpers and the competition as you try to revive the public image of the company or will Ticketmaster fade into a Blank Space?
