UChicago’s travel Team

TEAM is UChicago’s competitive travel MUN team. Over the school year, we attend a variety of Model United Nations conferences across North America. As one of the oldest collegiate Model UN teams, TEAM at UChicago has been highly competitive while remaining a tight-knit on-campus community. Our team has been the only team to be ranked within the top 5 teams in the history of the global collegiate MUN rankings. This past year, we were ranked 5th in North America and are excited to be back and compete even more in the coming year!

We do not hold tryouts and we welcome people of all years to join at any point during the year :)

  • IIf you’re interested in joining, sign up for our email list and come to training on Wednesdays at 9pm or Sundays at 11am! If you have the chance to attend the RSO fair or our info sessions at the beginning of the school year, that’s a great place to learn more about TEAM and speak to our members. Feel free to reach out to Anna, Harper, Tim, or Zoe (emails above) at any time and we can chat with you about joining!

  • Not at all! Teamsec and the team as a whole is made up of people who both did and did not do MUN in high school, so we get it. No matter your experience level, we will cover every aspect of the activity during training to make sure that you are prepared for college MUN. We do not hold tryouts, so everyone who is interested in joining the team can become a member. All we ask is that you show up to practice consistently and be ready to try your best!

  • TEAM is a 3 hour per week time commitment. We meet on Wednesdays from 9-10 PM and Sundays from 11 AM-1 PM.
